My Client is an international Construction Consultancy that has been a leader in the design, planning and implementation of development projects in the Middle East Region, Asia and Africia since establishing in 1958

Project:Airport expansion including infrastructure and building works
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will lead the Consultant's team to supervise the construction of infrastructure and building works to be executed by more than one contractor each assigned to a separate construction package under the design-build scheme.
Duties for this post are:
Plays the role of the Engineer.
Develops the project administration plan and monitors the overall execution of the project (all packages, each managed by a Resident Engineer) in line with the plan.
Coordinates with the Client and ensures that the Client's requirements are attended to.
Participates actively in establishing project objectives, cost and time constraints, administrative requirements and contract interfaces.
Confirms standards and procedures to be adopted in the performance of the works, such as submittals processing and variations procedures
Establishes a timetable for the mobilization of the Consultants. Supervision team and sets staff duties while ensuring their adequate performance through continuous monitoring
Defines communication channels between all parties.
Analize and investigates early major potential problems that may face the project so that solutions can be found as early as possible
Oversees the works, and issues certificates and notifications as per contract conditions.
Liaises with the Client on matters relating to Contractors' claims for additional cost and time extension.
Checks and issues interim and final payments certificates for approval by the Client
Conducts periodical progress meetings and monitors the technical meetings.
Reviews and approves monthly progress reports before submission to the Client.
Advise with respect to time and cost implications of requested variation orders.
Monitors the project budget and time schedule.
Ensures that project's environmental, safety, and quality programs are enforced.
Assists in discussions on differences between the Client and the Contractors.
Oversees project closeout and issues Taking-over certificate.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 20 years construction/supervision experience
Ability to control contractors' performance under FIDIC conditions of contract
Good written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent in English and Arabic
Team player, forceful, and confident
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience with reputable international multi-disciplinary consulting firms in the Gulf
