CDM COORDINATOR is required by our client, a consulting engineering practice based in London. Candidates will come from a consulting engineering background and will hold
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health and
NEBOSH Construction Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
Or
NEBOSH Diploma Part 1 in Occupational Health & Safety
Or
British Safety Council Diploma in Health & Safety Management.
Job Purpose:
To provide a technical safety consultancy service to the Group on projects, as directed by the Associate.
This appointment is for a position in the Safety group. As well as gaining experience and developing your skills as a general health and safety consultant, you will also gain specialist knowledge in the construction safety and CDM Coordination sector.
Currently, this group has a range of projects, including: new sports arenas and stadiums, expansion and reconfiguration of existing buildings, new leisure facilities, education premises and buildings of historic importance. Projects are currently throughout the UK including both Northern Ireland and Eire.
Key Responsibilities:
*Undertake CDM Cordinator duties in accordance with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007.
*Preparation of technical documentation in health and safety related subjects
*Plan and Manage the production of specific CDM related documentation.
*Represent the company at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers.
*Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
*Ensure that appropriate service delivery deadlines are met and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved
*Coordinating his/her work with other members of the Safety Group and wider project teams.
*Ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters.
*Assist in ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the client's and company's best interests and that company policy is in keeping with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice etc.
*Actively work towards Graduate Safety Practitioner status
*Actively work towards Registered Membership of the Association for Project Safety (APS).
*Proactively commit to CPD and self learning / development.
